The department of Renal Transplant Surgery has performed more than 650 live related renal transplants since 1987 and has also performed more than 150 C.A.P.D. insertions. It has to its credit a number of surgical innovations which have been presented at a number of National and International forums.

The department takes special pride in the large number of diabetic, Australia Antigen positive and cardiac compromised patients who have been successfully transplanted.

The Govt. of India has recognized the Department as a centre of excellence.
