Dear Colleague,

The Department of Medicine Sir Ganga Ram Hospital is organizing its 24th annual Medicine Update on 10th & 11th February 2012 and we would like to invite you to grace us with your presence for the same.

There have been tremendous advances in the field of Medical Sciences and it is imperative to keep pace with these developments. Medical updates organized by our department give an opportunity to acquire knowledge about these latest developments and also give a platform to ask any queries from the eminent faculty. The scientific program has been designed to tailor to the needs of practicing consultants and family physicians. This year’s edition will also give you hands on experience in Cardiopulmonary  resuscitation in the form of a workshop on basic life support. An interactive workshop by the Department of Radiodiagnosis on interpretation of X-rays in day to day practice will also be conducted. I am sure, all the participants are going to benefit from the various discussions during the course of the programme.

As in previous years, credit hours are expected to be awarded by Delhi Medical Council. I hope that you have an enriching academic experience in the two days of this conference. Your presence and participation will go a long way in making this event a success.

With regards,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the to be held on 3rd & 4th March 2012 at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi.

The Workshop has been well attended in its previous 7 editions from 2005 to 2011. The chosen subjects and workshops have been well appreciated by medical fraternity due to the clarity achieved on the subject by the end of each workshop.

Encouraged by the previous response this time we are focusing on the two most common pathologies of the knee - To bring out the best practice at the time of ACL Reconstruction and decision making for a torn-meniscus, we have invited eminent and experienced national & international faculty to discuss the subject thread bear with the enthusiastic delegates. The scientific session is structured such that the whole process is more interactive, encouraging maximum discussion. The exclusive hands on workshop on silicon knee models will allow the delegates to use all types of meniscal repair technique using the actual meniscal repair instrument. The vet ACL workshop gives near reality experience of hamstring graft technique using bovine tendons.

The two day symposia is aimed to leave everybody crystal clarity of thinking when approaching any ACL or meniscus injury. We look forward to your participation and brainstorming discussion in the Special “Meet the Master” session.
