Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes clinic is being held on Wednesdays from 9-1 l am in the department of pediatrics. This clinic is held for children who have growth abnormalities (short or tall stature), disorders related to puberty (early or delayed puberty), menstrual abnormalities, hirsutism (excessive hair growth on the face and other parts of the body gynaecomastia (breast enlargement in boys), thyroid disorders, obesity, abnormal genitalia in children (undescended testes, micropenis etc.), adrenal disorders such as CAH, addison's and cushing's disease, disorders of the bone and parathyroid gland and diabetes mellitus.

Children with these problems undergo complete evaluation. Bone age assessment is done and Predicted adult height is calculated wherever required.. Facilities for investigating these children are available in the hospital. Nutritional advice and diabetes education facilities are also provided. Parents and children with diabetes are educated about the illness and taught how to monitor blood glucose, give insulin shots, treat hypoglycemia, sick days management etc.
